As soon as you leave the ship, you’ll find plenty of shuttle buses offered for more than $12 per person. Here’s a simple, cheaper and faster alternative to reach the city center.

Here’s how:

• Get off the ship and take the free port shuttle. You’ll be handed a pink ticket, which is required to exit the secured terminal.
• Once you arrive at the port exit, walk 5 to 7 minutes to Piazza del Municipio, located right nearby.
• From there, you can take a local bus to the city center for only $2, or explore Livorno on foot or by sightseeing bus.
• This is also the square where all excursions to Pisa depart!

→ In less than 15 minutes, you’ll be in the lively heart of Livorno, around Piazza Grande.

Bonus tip: if you enjoy walking, you can reach the center in about 20–25 minutes along the canal and enjoy the local atmosphere. However, walking directly out of the port is not allowed!
