MSC Cruises – Explore every ship
Reviews & Complete guide 2025–2026
MSC Cruises operates one of the world’s largest cruise fleets, made up of more than 20 ships (24 to be exact, excluding the MSC World Asia). This impressive fleet showcases a remarkable diversity from the newest LNG-powered mega-ships packed with cutting-edge technology, to the more classic vessels that have marked the company’s history.
MSC’s identity is rooted in a distinctly European style and a cosmopolitan atmosphere. The newest ships, such as the MSC World Europa and the MSC Euribia, redefine the at-sea experience with innovative water parks, modern cabins, and a wide range of restaurants. Meanwhile, the older ships continue to offer popular itineraries often with a more intimate ambiance.
When it comes to pricing, MSC generally strikes a good balance between quality and value. However, as demand has grown, so has the complexity of its offers: while base fares remain competitive, prices can vary widely depending on the itinerary, season, and optional services chosen.
In this complete guide, we review every MSC cruise ship, detailing for each one:
- An objective analysis to help you find the ship that best matches your cruise expectations.
- A full technical sheet (tonnage, capacity, dimensions).
- A summary table of key features (launch year, dining, entertainment).
Note: this guide is not a simple copy-paste. All information here is the result of thorough research and meticulous updates as MonTataneTour always strives to provide ensuring you access the most reliable and up-to-date data. My goal? MSC Seaside
MSC Cruises ships – Complete fleet guide

A ship designed to bring passengers closer to the sea, with wide spaces and diverse leisure options
I have sailed several times on the MSC Seaside. Five years ago, it offered a very satisfying experience. However, today, some areas show signs of wear: buffet furniture and some public areas could be updated, carpets are worn, and the culinary quality has slightly declined compared to its earlier standards.
The MSC Seaside features a waterside promenade on Deck 8, circling the ship and giving access to a variety of restaurants and bars. From the glass bridge on Deck 16, passengers enjoy panoramic ocean views.
The ship has several pools, including Miami Beach and South Beach, providing sunny spaces to relax while enjoying the sea view. Panoramic elevators connect the different decks for easy access to the pool areas.
The four-deck atrium with glass walls serves as a venue for shows and events. MSC Yacht Club offers a private and exclusive space while allowing access to the ship’s main facilities. Aurea Spa provides wellness treatments, a thermal area, a beauty salon, and a nail care institute. The panoramic gym is equipped with Technogym machines and offers various fitness classes.
Cabins and suites include interior, ocean view, balcony cabins, and suites with private whirlpool tubs. Connecting cabin options are available for families and groups.
The ship offers a wide range of entertainment: high-tech theater, bowling lanes, a multi-level interactive water park with 5 slides, an adventure trail, and children’s areas created in partnership with LEGO and Chicco.
Dining options include nine main and specialty restaurants such as Ocean Cay, Butcher’s Cut, Seashore, Ipanema, and the Marketplace Buffet. MSC Seaside also features 19 bars and lounges to suit all tastes.

MSC Meraviglia
MSC Cruises ships – Complete fleet guide

A modern, well-maintained ship with a full dining and entertainment experience
I sailed on the MSC Meraviglia last year. Unlike the MSC Seaside, it is very well maintained despite its similar age. Public areas and cabins are clean and functional, and the food quality is high, catering well to American tastes.
The Meraviglia Gallery, a 96-meter indoor promenade, houses shops, restaurants, and relaxation areas. In the evening, the promenade comes alive with music and performances.
The Horizon Pool provides a space to enjoy the sun during the day and transforms into a dance floor and entertainment venue in the evening.
The theater offers at least six different shows per cruise. Carousel Productions feature immersive performances combining acrobatics, dance, and live music. On this ship, the two productions are Rock Circus and House of Houdini, presented twice per evening, six nights per week, in the Carousel Lounge.
MSC Aurea Spa offers wellness treatments and a thermal area. The Technogym fitness center provides cardio and strength equipment with programs suitable for all levels. The MSC Yacht Club is a private and exclusive space, perfect for passengers seeking more privacy while enjoying the ship’s facilities.
Cabins and suites include family options, duplex suites with private whirlpool tubs, and many balcony cabins with ocean views.
Entertainment on board includes a high-tech theater, water park, sports center, bowling lanes, and children’s areas. Main dining venues serve Mediterranean and international specialties, and specialty restaurants include Hola! Tacos & Cantina, Ocean Cay, Butcher’s Cut, Kaito Teppanyaki, Waves, L’Olivo D’Oro, and the Marketplace Buffet. The ship also features numerous bars and lounges.

Personal note: the pool deck can feel a bit tight during evening events, the atmosphere may seem cold, and some carpets show signs of wear. MSC Musica
MSC Cruises ships – Complete fleet guide

Note on the Age of the MSC Fleet
From the MSC Poesia onward, all the ships listed on this page are among the oldest in the MSC fleet. Many of them have retained undeniable charm and still offer a pleasant cruise experience, with comfortable cabins, quality service, and classic onboard activities.
However, if you are looking for water slides, large or heated pools, or spectacular water facilities, these ships may not meet those expectations. They focus more on classic elegance, comfort, and timeless charm rather than the latest innovations in water entertainment and thrilling activities.
Entertainment onboard is varied: the Crystal Lounge features dancing and live music, the Havana Club is an elegant space for cigar lovers, the Sanremo Casino offers games of chance, and the Teatro La Scala hosts high-quality shows.
For children and teenagers, MSC Musica provides themed clubs, indoor and outdoor play areas, and a dedicated pool, allowing young guests to enjoy an active social life on board.
Cabins and suites include interior rooms, ocean-view cabins, balconies, and elegant suites, catering to families, couples, and solo travelers alike.
The ship offers a wide range of activities: swimming pools, luxurious spa, theater, casino, panoramic disco, and more. Dining options include Il Giardino, Kaito Sushi Bar, Oleandro, and the Gli Archi buffet, serving a variety of Italian and international cuisine.
Nine bars are available on board, offering wine, beer, and cocktails, including spaces such as the Crystal Lounge and the Enoteca Wine Bar.

MSC Melody
MSC Cruises ships – Complete fleet guide

A historic ship for MSC Cruises enthusiasts
The MSC Melody is often included in historical lists of the MSC fleet, even though it left the company in 2013. Its original construction dates back to 1982 under a different name. I did not have the chance to sail on it, as I had not yet started cruising at that time and was unaware of its existence.
For those who experienced it, the MSC Melody remains a memorable ship, with its period charm and style reflecting the early modern era of MSC Cruises. It is appreciated for its classic atmosphere and facilities that were advanced for its time.
Even though I never had the chance to sail on it, the MSC Melody holds its place in MSC history and in the hearts of nostalgic cruisers.
Acquired by MSC Cruises in 1997 as Melody, this second-hand ship (formerly StarShip Atlantic) was the company’s flagship until 2003, marking the beginning of MSC’s modern era before the arrival of the first newly built ship of the Lirica class.
